CK Police caution public about home repair fraud

The Chatham-Kent Police caution the public regarding door-to-door sales for construction or handyperson services, such as asphalt paving and home repairs. • High-pressure sales tactics.

  • Lack of credentials.

  • Absence of written contracts.

  • Lack of references.

  • Meager prices.

  • Unsolicited offers.

The public is advised to conduct thorough research and take time before making decisions or signing contracts.
