Clinic swamped with calls for family doctors
The developer of a new downtown medical clinic in Windsor, Ont., says he's been inundated with messages from people seeking a family doctor.
Greg Chew from Nexus Health Management said since the announcement of a new clinic on Monday, he's had over 1,000 patients come in or try and register online.
"We're bringing new physicians to Windsor," Chew said. "I think we're doing the right thing."
Chew told CBC's Early Shift radio show his company has already lined up six doctors for the clinic at 500 Ouellette Ave. He hopes to have 15 in place when it opens in July.
The clinic will have family doctors, specialists, and an after hours urgent care clinic, open on weekdays.
