Cocaine, 30,000 dollars cash and firearms seized in Kitchener

Kitchener — A 19-year-old man has been arrested and charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of firearms and possession of proceeds of crime.

After a month-long investigation in Kitchener, Waterloo Regional Police conducted a search warrant at a house on Winding Meadow Court at 2 p.m. on December 17.

As a result, police seized:

Approximately one kilogram of suspected cocaine

Approximately $30,000 in currency

Two nonrestricted long guns

A prohibited magazine

Ammunition

Drug processing supplies

A motor vehicle (used to commit drug-trafficking offences)

The 19-year old man was scheduled for a bail hearing on December 18.

Police anticipate more arrests will be made.
