Cold blast coming to southern Manitoba, but only briefly

Cold air is pushing into Winnipeg, with temperatures dropping Wednesday afternoon and into Thursday.

Daytime highs will be far from the mild days of the past week, turning all the slush into crust. Overnight lows will fall to about –13 C but the wind chill will make it feel more like –25.

Temperatures climb back up to normal or a bit above just in time for the weekend's Santa Claus/Grey Cup Parade on Saturday and the Grey Cup game on Sunday. Highs those days should be around –1 C and –3 C, respectively.
