Collision at busy St. John's intersection sends 2 to hospital
A collision at a busy St. John's intersection sent two people to hospital Saturday morning.
The accident happened around 10:30 a.m. at Columbus Drive and Topsail Road.
The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary said one of the vehicles hit a utility pole. The force from the impact sent debris flying up, destroying one traffic light and damaging another.
Police said there were minor injuries involved. Crews were at the scene cleaning up debris and directing traffic.
