A collision involving a utility pole is proving to be a communications nuisance in central Labrador.

Some Bell Aliant customers in Happy Valley-Goose Bay are experiencing service interruptions Wednesday, following a vehicle collision that damaged a utility pole.

In a statement, Bell Aliant estimated 50 per cent of customers in the region are experiencing disruptions.

The utility said full service will not be restored until late Thursday.
