Oftentimes, season tickets for sports organizations feature the team’s best current players. Or former players. Or coaches.

The University of Colorado chose a different, more impactful approach.

Wanting to connect with their fanbase, the school in Boulder, Colorado, struck a partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado. The school created an art contest among patients and 25 drawings were submitted, according to a release. Of them, six were chosen to be printed on season ticket packets mailed to fans last week.

“We are so appreciative of the opportunity for our patients to engage with CU Athletics in this way,” said Christy Dobson, Director of Corporate and Community Relations at Children’s Hospital Colorado. “The kids had a wonderful time creating their designs and the winners are so proud to have their art in front of thousands of CU fans.”

According to the release, Colorado will highlight the patients whose artwork was selected, which will further a great gesture surrounding a college football staple.
