Toronto police have confirmed comedian Mike Bullard was slapped with more criminal charges this week.

Police say the former TV and radio talk show host was arrested this week and appeared in court Thursday. He was charged with breach of recognizance and two counts of attempt to obstruct justice.

Police refused to go into detail, but did say the charges were in relation to a 2016 charge. That’s when Bullard was charged with criminal harassment, obstruction of justice and breaching conditions to stay away from a woman he previously dated, CityNews TV reporter Cynthia Mulligan, the Toronto Star reports.

In 2016, the 60-year-old Mississauga, Ont., resident told the Toronto Star the charges were the result of a “bad breakup.”

Bullard lost his job at Bell Media once charges were laid. He had worked there from 2010 to 2016.

Bullard hosted Open Mike with Mike Bullard on CTV in the late 1990s and early 2000s, which featured guests such as Jean Chrétien, who was the prime minister at the time. He later transitioned to radio, hosting Beyond the Mic with Mike Bullard on CFRB, Newstalk 1010 in Toronto.
