Conservatives don’t share responsibility in failing to investigate Gen. Vance allegations: O’Toole

Conservative Leader Erin O’Toole said Thursday his party doesn’t share responsibility in failing to investigate sexual misconduct allegations against Gen. Jonathan Vance, as documents showed the military police investigation into him was shut down once he was sworn in as chief of the defence staff in 2015, when O'Toole was minister of veterans' affairs. O'Toole said he made sure those rumors were investigated immediately at that time and said that the Trudeau government covered up direct allegations by the victim against Vance.
