Convicted court psychiatrist Aubrey Levin's appeal denied

The Alberta Court of Appeal has denied former court psychiatrist Aubrey Levin's bid to have his convictions thrown out.

He was found guilty of three counts in January 2013 for fondling men who had been assigned to him as patients through the courts.

Levin was given a five-year prison sentence.

With Levin's appeal dismissed, he now has 48 hours to turn himself him.

Levin faced other charges. He was found not guilty on two counts of sexual assault and a mistrial was declared on four counts.
