Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street has added a new suspect to the line up, as the mystery surrounding Joel Deering's death continues.
DC Kit Green was put in charge of Joel's murder investigation, after it was decided that DS Lisa Swain was too close to the case. But with the murder still unsolved, Kit has been feeling the pressure to get a result.
Despite her attempts to help, Kit was irritated by Lisa's interference in the case and insisted all evidence should be submitted to him. But has his reluctance to take her advice been down to his own involvement in Joel's death?

Friday's (November 1) episode revealed some suspicious behaviour from the detective, after Lisa pointed Kit in the direction of the red car that crashed into Greg's wing mirror. She suggested the owner of the car might know might know something about Joel's murder.
However, at the station, viewers saw Kit scrolling through a spreadsheet of all the red cars in the area, before secretly deleting the vehicle registered under his name.
In tonight's (November 4) episode, a flashback to the night of September 27 shows a clearly agitated Kit deleting a phone call while snatching a bottle of whiskey from the Rovers bar. What happened in the lead up to that moment, and why was Kit reaching for a drink?

A second flashback will reveal all as we see Kit on the wrong side of the law once more, leaving viewers wondering if the Weatherfield cop is, in fact, the killer.
Recent weeks have shown a sneaky side to the newcomer, as he manipulated those around him to serve his own interests. After finding out about Daisy and Ryan's break-up, Kit encouraged Ryan to discuss the relationship before deviously using the information to appeal to Daisy.
Since arriving on the cobbles, Kit has also manipulated his siblings and birth mother Bernie, as well as blackmailing Beth to leave Weatherfield using a secret Craig had shared with him.
But could the shady detective be capable of murder?
