Coronation Street to update fans on missing character as Christmas storylines begin
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street is set to update fans on Fiz Dobbs in new scenes on the soap.
The character is currently living in Norwich after accepting a supervisor role there, which comes as star Jennie McAlpine takes some time away from the soap for maternity leave.
In new scenes set to air the week starting December 18, Evelyn turns up at No 9 and suggests that Tyrone take Hope and Ruby to see Fiz, as she won't be coming home for Christmas.

With herself left in Weatherfield, Evelyn tells Tyrone that she will spend Christmas with Roy while they're all away.
However, Evelyn realises that Cassie would be left on her own, and as such invites her reluctantly to spend the day with her and Roy.
Will Evelyn be able to have a happy Christmas with Tyrone away?
Fiz's last scenes on the soap aired back in May, with Jennie revealing the happy news in August that she had welcomed a baby daughter, called Doris, with husband Chris Farr.

"Doris is a family name and I love that it goes with Albert and Hilda," she explained to OK! Magazine at the time, referring to her two other children.
She further said of the connection to the cobbles: "They're also all very 'Corrie'. The actress who played the first Rovers landlady, Annie Walker, was called Doris Speed.
"There's obviously something in my DNA that means these baby names keep happening!
"People have said before that Albert and Hilda sound like two childhood sweethearts writing to each other during the war. Now Doris is the aunty who’s come to join them."
Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
