Can Stephen seal the deal with Rufus?

Rufus then hands Stephen a vial of LSD and heads to the bathroom where he snorts a line of cocaine. But Rufus will be left clutching his chest and being attended to by paramedics. Stephen, meanwhile, assures Carla that the deal is in the bag and starts practising Rufus’s signature for the unsigned contract.
Rufus is then wheeled off to an ambulance, but later on there’s a knock at the hotel door and a sex worker called Candace barges in demanding money – all of which gives Stephen an idea…
Carla is on Stephen’s hit list
Following the drama detailed above, Carla makes Sarah Head of Design, and Stephen becomes office manager. But wanting his revenge, Stephen ends up lacing Carla’s coffee with the LSD from Rufus’s briefcase.
The result is that Carla finds herself discombobulated and with spiralling paranoia. Peter, for one, is left concerned that her psychosis is returning. Matters then escalate dramatically when Carla gets behind the wheel of the Underworld van, determined to make it in time for a meeting for which she’s late. But as she careers down the street, she crashes into Paul, who’s astride a motorbike that’s recently been bought by Peter. Will there be casualties?
Max is sentenced
Barrister Kim reveals that Alya has failed to submit a personal victim statement, a development that could aid Max’s case.
At the court, the judge hands Max a six-month sentence. But when David hugs the troubled teen and assures him he’ll visit as often as he can, Max asserts that he doesn’t want any visits. But at the secure training centre, a group of lads are soon making it clear to Max that they intend to make his life hell.
Billy still has feelings for Paul
Paul gets an offer of a night out on the town with Dee-Dee. But when Summer reveals that she’s received a conditional offer from Manchester University, Billy suggests to Paul that they meet for a celebratory drink.
Paul’s solution is to get Dee-Dee to come along to the Rovers, where she witters on to him about her love life. But when Billy shows up, he changes the topic to discuss how appalled he remains with Todd for his show of violence towards Mike. Paul can only mask his guilt…
Events then take an unexpected turn later in the week when Billy approaches Paul and admits that he still has feelings for him. But Paul insists it’s better if they remain friends.
Zeedan prioritises his family over Marrium
Zeedan is left begging Marrium not to go to the police after she turns up at the house to tell him she can’t believe he and Alya watched her dad die in front of them.
When Alya then tracks Marrium down to the café, she explains she’s as much to blame for her dad’s death as Zee. And following the conversation, Alya realises that her brother is sacrificing his relationship for her sake.
Alya will be seen next telling Zeedan that she doesn’t need his protection and is going to return to work at the restaurant. But Zee says to his sister that he’s sticking around whether she likes it or not as family must come first.
Brian is an unwelcome guest
Ed reveals to Brian that his flat needs rewiring, so Mary tells him he’s welcome to sleep on the sofa. The trouble is, Brian and Mary then have a huge argument and he ends up having to stay in a room at the builder’s yard flat.
As he tries to make himself at home, Brian attempts to bond with Amy’s uni mates and offers to do his Vernon Kay impression. But it’s enough to drive Amy up the wall – hence her then trying to convince Mary of how sorry Brian is following their falling out.
The good news is that Brian and Mary do become friends again. The bad news (for Amy) is that Brian then invites Mary round for tea – Amy’s plan to get rid of him having truly backfired.
