Coronation Street's Stu Carpenter supports Eliza in emotional scenes
Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street is set to air emotional scenes where Stu Carpenter supports his granddaughter Eliza through a difficult reunion.
The soap will revisit one of last year's major stories, where Stu took in his long-lost granddaughter after he was finally cleared of a wrongful murder conviction.
As it turned out, Stu's daughter Bridget Woodrow killed a young girl decades earlier and went along with her mother Lucy's plot to frame Stu for the crime.

Eliza moved in with her grandfather when her mother and grandmother were arrested, though their relationship may be tested when Eliza's father re-enters the picture in upcoming scenes.
Stu will be seen struggling with his worries about Eliza reconnecting with father Dom after many years, as he's convinced Dom could let down the young girl again.
Eliza is very excited to go out for a movie night with Dad, but then she's struck by a difficult moment on the day she's supposed to see him.
The young girl comes home crying from school, explaining to Stu that she started her period in the middle of PE class and was embarrassed in front of her friends.
Eliza announces that the last thing she wants to do is see her father, but she's thankful for her grandfather's support, and they share a hug.
