Coronavirus: Canada ‘not expecting’ large numbers of cases related to COVID-19 variants, Tam says

Canada’s chief public health officer Dr. Theresa Tam said Tuesday that all cases of the new coronavirus variant identified in Canada have been in travelers “or their contacts,” and that health officials are not expecting large numbers of cases related to these variants. However, she urged Canadians to “double down” on their efforts to curb the spread of the virus.
