Coronavirus: Canadian transport minister provides details of COVID-19 testing requirements for air travellers

Transport Minister Marc Garneau on Wednesday provided details on new travel requirements, which mandates travellers flying to Canada to show a negative COVID-19 test result from within 72 hours prior to boarding a plane. The requirements come into effect on Jan. 7 at 12:01am, and will include “very few exemptions,” with one being flight crew, Garneau said.
