Coronavirus: Ontario Premier Ford announces provincewide lockdown amid rising case numbers

Ontario Premier Doug Ford on Monday announced the province will be entering a provincewide shutdown beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Dec. 26. With COVID-19 cases rising dramatically, Ford says his government needs a runway to rollout a vaccine. The stay-at-home order will be in place for 28 days in southern Ontario and 14 days in northern Ontario.
