Coronavirus: Public safety minister discusses Canadian border restrictions, says 1.8% of cases in Canada are travel related

Public Safety Minister Bill Blair on Tuesday said that restrictions imposed at the Canadian border “are among the strongest and most rigorous in the world,” and discussed measures being taken for flights arriving from the U.K. following the detection of a new virus strain. Blair added that currently, cases in Canada related to international travel account for 1.8 per cent of all cases.
