Coronavirus: Toronto official says to brace for extended period of ‘unsettling’ COVID-19 case numbers

Toronto's chief medical officer of health Dr. Eileen de Villa said on Wednesday she is “not convinced” that the recently reported COVID-19 cases are connected to the holidays, as cases are often confirmed “many days after infection." Dr. de Villa also said that the city should “brace for an extended period of potentially unsettling and discouraging numbers" of cases.
