Coroner identifies person killed in crash after truck drove off SC road and hit a tree
One person died in a crash on a South Carolina road Saturday morning, the Aiken County Coroner’s Office announced.
Just before 2 a.m., a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado truck was heading east on Rushton Road near Moseley Road when it drove off the right side of the road and struck a tree, according to the coroner’s office.
The coroner responded around 2:13 a.m., and pronounced the driver and sole occupant dead on the scene just before 3 a.m. He was identified as 22-year-old John Boulware.
The coroner’s office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol are continuing to investigate the crash. A toxicology analysis is pending, officials said.
