Corrective to Nov. 20 story about temporary housing for asylum seekers
OTTAWA — In a story published on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2024 about proposed reception centres for refugees and asylum seekers in Ottawa, The Canadian Press incorrectly stated that the city's first proposed location was cancelled following significant resident pushback, then two other options were selected. In fact, the city had a list of possible sites but had not chosen any options until two sites were selected in early November.
