Cottage Country boom spilling over into summer

Prices for recreational properties, like cottages in Ontario and B.C. have gone through the roof as buyers scramble to scoop up limited supply.

Cottage prices usually don’t move much, but this year has been different with more people working from home during the pandemic. The segment has attracted buyers looking for a vacation retreat, investors, and even people who plan to live in them permanently.

We’ve been getting monthly updates from the ground floor from Realosophy Realty’s John Pasalis and Oakwyn Realty’s Steve Saretsky, who help make sense of it all, with advice for anyone buying or selling a home.

They shared their thoughts on where they see the cottage prices going in the coming months.

If you have questions, email them to and John or Steve will answer them on the next episode.
