Courteney Cox celebrates Jennifer Aniston's birthday with “Friends” throwback clip
"Nobody else in the world could make this line sound so cute," Cox wrote to her longtime costar.
Call it the one where Courteney Cox shares a birthday tribute to her Friends costar and bestie Jennifer Aniston.
Cox celebrated Aniston's 55th birthday on Sunday with an Instagram post featuring a sweet message and favorite clip from their hit sitcom. In the season 2 episode "The One Where Heckles Dies," Monica (Cox) and Rachel (Aniston) argue over the inclusion of a seashell lamp in their apartment's decor. Monica, who has made her distaste for the lamp clear, accidentally breaks it, but Rachel is convinced it was very much intentional.
The late Matthew Perry also appears in the clip, as a downcast Rachel says to his Chandler: "Hey, Chandler. Monica just broke my seashell lamp."
Cox, 59, wrote in the caption, "Not sure why this is one of my favorite clips… I guess it's because nobody else in the world could make this line sound so cute." She added, "Happy Birthday my sweet Jenny Louise. Also don't know why I call her that…but I sure do love you."
Aniston also had a Friends reunion with costar David Schwimmer for an Uber Eats commercial that aired during Sunday's Super Bowl (which saw the Kansas City Chiefs emerge victorious over the San Francisco 49ers).
Riffing on Uber Eats' slogan "Whatever you forget, just remember Uber Eats gets almost anything," the ad sees Aniston and Schwimmer bump into each other on a studio backlot — but Aniston can't remember who Schwimmer is.
"Have we met?" she asks.
"We worked together for 10 years," Schwimmer replies. David and Victoria Beckham, as well as rapper Jelly Roll, also have moments of amnesia in the commercial.
