Courteney Cox Shares Poignant Tribute To Matthew Perry Along With One Of Her Favorite Outtakes: “I Am So Grateful For Every Moment I Had With You”
Monica and Chandler are forever in our memories. Courteney Cox, who portrayed Monica opposite Matthew Perry’s Chandler on Friends has shared an emotional tribute and an outtake of one of her favorite moments from the iconic sitcom.
“I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day,” Cox wrote alongside the clip she posted on Instagram. “When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here’s one of my favorites.”

She continued, “To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind.” You can watch the clip below.
The tight-knit starring cast of Friends released a group statement two days after Perry’s sudden death.
“We are all so utterly devastated by the loss of Matthew. We were more than just cast mates. We are a family,” Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer said in a statement. “There is so much to say, but right now we’re going to take a moment to grieve and process this unfathomable loss.”
LeBlanc posted a personal tribute earlier today.
Perry was found dead by his assistant in a hot tub at his home on October 28. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office has listed the cause of death as deferred pending toxicology reports.

Perry is best known for playing the sassy and snappy but affable Chandler Bing on Friends during the hit Warner Bros. TV series’ 10-season run on NBC.
