Courteney Cox Just Debuted Shaggy Bangs for Fall

Courteney Cox has had the same hairstyle, more or less, for what feels like forever. She prefers it wavy and cut just below her shoulders, with a sleek middle part. Or, well, she did, that is — until now. In a surprising turn of events, the 56-year-old actor has bangs. And not just any bangs, but super-cool, '70s-style bangs that are long and slightly shaggy.

While Cox has yet to share a photo of her fringe, the man behind the magic — a.k.a. hairstylist Chris McMillan — was quick to reveal the star's look on social media. He posted an adorable selfie of her in a baker boy-style hat along with the caption: "#bangs @courteneycoxofficial @jenniferaniston #approved Every time I bang Courtney she always says 'how fast does hair grow a month?' 😂 lol!!!! Bangs for #fall COURTENEY."

Naturally, Cox's fans are obsessed with her new look (as are we). They're leaving comments on McMillan's post like, "she looks amazing 😍❤️," "Phew, what a Qweeen!👑❤️," and "Monica 'Bang'."

In regards to the latter comment, one of the last times Cox had bangs was when she played Monica on Friends — specifically in seasons one and two. She also experimented with baby bangs in Scream 3, which debuted in 2000.

The bangs she has now are decidedly different from the aforementioned styles: They're longer, slightly shaggy, and more low-maintenance than short, straight-across bangs because they don't need to be styled as much.

Props to Cox for trying a trendy new hair look this season — and to McMillan for making her fringe so fabulous.
