DeSoto Bridge over Manatee River reopens after crash blocked traffic, police say

Southbound lanes on the DeSoto Bridge in Manatee County reopened around 6:50 p.m. Tuesday after a crash blocked all traffic, police said

The Bradenton Police Department said the crash caused traffic delays from Palmetto into Bradenton and asked drivers to use the Green Bridge in the meantime.

The Bradenton Police Department and Palmetto Police Department both responded to the scene of the crash.

Further information about the crash was immediately available Tuesday evening.

Honda recalling 2 million vehicles over steering issue
WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Honda Motor said Wednesday it is recalling 2 million cars and SUVs in North America over an issue that can make steering more difficult and increase the risk of a crash. The recall by the Japanese automaker includes various 2022 through 2025 model vehicles including some Civic and Civic Type R, CR-V, HR-V and Acura Integra and Integra Type S vehicles. Honda said it has received 10,328 warranty claims related to the issue since 2021.
