Crashes send several people to Winnipeg hospitals

A 22-year-old woman was sent to hospital after her vehicle went out of control and rolled at Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue.

Slippery streets resulted in a number of crashes around Winnipeg Wednesday night.

A 22-year-old woman was sent to hospital after her vehicle went out of control and rolled at Waverley Street and Taylor Avenue at about 6:45 p.m.

She is now in stable condition.

Traic was tied up around Victor Lewis Drive and Sterling Lyon Parkway a short time later after a crash at that intersection.

And emergency crews had to use the jaws of life to cut open a vehicle after a crash at Academy Road and Lanark Street. A 65-year-old man was pulled from one of the two vehicle involved in the collision, which happened at about 9:30 p.m.

He was sent to hospital but police did not have information on his condition.

Then just before 10 p.m., on Cordova Street, two people were sent to hospital after their vehicle slammed into a tree.
