Crews clean up Winnipeg produce spill after semi rollover

Crews were cleaning up debris after a semi rolled over on Winnipeg’s west Perimeter Highway early Monday morning.

The semi-trailer, which was carrying produce at the time, rolled near the Perimeter and McGillvray Boulevard. It spilled its load across the road at about 1:30 a.m.

Southbound lanes in the area were backed up as crews continued to clean up the mess. RCMP were asking motorists in the area to drive with caution Monday morning.

RCMP said the 45-year-old man behind the wheel wasn’t seriously injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
