The City of Windsor says it won't comment on a motor vehicle collision Thursday that appeared to involve a city vehicle, until the Windsor Police Service has completed its investigation.

Windsor police say a cyclist was sent to hospital after the collision, which closed the intersection of Howard Avenue and Tecumseh Road East for several hours. The road has since reopened.

Footage shot at the scene shortly after noon Thursday shows a white van with a City of Windsor logo on the driver's side door and a slightly dented hood.

A bicycle was propped against the front of the vehicle, and the scene is surrounded by police tape.
