Normal People's sex scenes were undeniably one of the most memorable parts of the show; not only were they relatable, they were definitely extremely hot.

However, we don't envy actress Daisy Edgar-Jones, who plays Marianne and is very much not single (unlike Paul Mescal, FYI) - because no matter how beautifully-shot and relevant the scenes were to the show, it can't have been fun seeing her boyfriend's reaction to those intense moments.

Speaking on the How to Fail with Elizabeth Day podcast, Daisy admitted that her SF, Game of Thrones actor Tom Varey, did cringe a little while watching - although it sounds like he dealt with it incredibly. "My boyfriend actually, he was amazing because what a tricky thing to watch," she admitted. "He loves the series, thank goodness. That’s something I’m very relieved about.

"But, there was a moment in episode six where he was like: 'This is a bit weird. Oh this is weird!'

"And we all have to acknowledge that it was a bit weird, and then it was fine."

Fair play to him!

There's been a lot of talk about the intimate moments between Marianne and Connell since the show exploded into our lives - but saly, not all of the reaction has been ideal. Producers recently revealed that they've had to battle porn sites to take down compilation videos people had been uploading.

Normal People’s executive producer, Ed Guiney, told Variety: "We’re hugely disappointed that excerpts from the series of Normal People have been used in this way. It’s both a violation of copyright and more importantly, it’s deeply disrespectful to the actors involved and to the wider creative team.

"We have taken appropriate steps to require that the content be removed from the platform with immediate effect."

Pornhub has said its working to make sure the content is removed from the site as soon as possible.
