Stenson managed to keep smiling and skating through dislocating her shoulder during a twist in her skate off routine, but the judges still voted to send her home and save Kaneswaran.
Viewers who had expected to see Stenson in the final were shocked at the result, with one person tweeting: "Shocked at that result. Carley was easily one of the best skaters on the show, and should have easily made the final. She was Nile's closest competition!"
Someone else agreed: "i had deemed carley as a finalist and she’s not even making the semis whaaaat ??"
Another fan added: "So gutted, I’ve loved Carley and Mark SO much and really thought they’d be there until the end."
