David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin's BBC show gets first trailer
David Mitchell and Anna Maxwell Martin's new BBC series Ludwig has a first trailer, after the release date was confirmed this week.
Ludwig stars the Peep Show actor as the reclusive John 'Ludwig' Taylor, who comes out of isolation as a puzzle-settler after the disappearance of his twin brother James.
The short first clip shows John's first foray into the police department, under the guise of being his copper brother.
"James didn't just vanish. It's a puzzle. Puzzles are meant to be solved," we hear Mitchell's reluctant detective John say. The trailer also gives a first look at ex-EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis, who is one of several guest stars in the cast.
The comedy-drama is set to premiere on September 25 at 9pm on BBC One and iPlayer.

As he tries to find James and assumes his identity in his efforts, Ludwig finds that in "taking over every aspect of James's life" he "is forced to confront his own".
Notably, he is very different from his brother, a family man and respected DCI within Cambridge's Major Investigations Team.
The synopsis adds: "These are big shoes to fill for anyone, but for Ludwig playing dad to a ready-made family proves every bit as challenging as tackling the grisliest of crime scenes.
"However, Ludwig does have one big advantage – his ability to see the world in puzzle form. John may be a master of all things cryptic, but can he crack the biggest puzzle of his life?"

Ludwig will also feature a number of guest stars, including Derek Jacobi, Felicity Kendal, Karl Pilkington, People Just Do Nothing's Allan Mustafa, This Country's Paul Chahidi and Black Ops' Hammed Animashaun.
"I'm delighted to be working in a genre of television that I have loved ever since, at the age of 10, I started watching the Miss Marple adaptations, starring Joan Hickson, with my parents,” Mitchell previously said.
"Sometimes the only thing that can bring the whole family together is murder."
Ludwig premieres on September 25 on BBC One and iPlayer at 9pm.
