David Spade Replaces Peter Griffin on ‘Family Guy’
This week’s episode of Family Guy took a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show, as if we were privy to the sitcom’s shooting, seeing what our favorite characters are like when they’re not doing the show. It turns out Peter is such a diva that he got fired from the show, replaced by Uncle Ricky, played by David Spade.
James Woods hosted the Inside Family Guy show and was on-set when David shot a scene with Lois. Woods revealed that Spade wasn’t working out. He said, “As his parents and previous co-stars have learned, a little of David Spade can go a long way.”
In the end, Peter forced his way back onto the studio lot and got his job back. When Lois asked him what would happen to David Spade, he replied, “Don’t worry, I already took care of that. I got Sophia Vergara deported.” The scene then cut to Spade in a dress, speaking with a Spanish accent, appearing on Modern Family.
