‘Dead’ Teen Heard Screaming Inside Coffin Dies Again After Family Smash Tomb

A family desperately smashed into a concrete tomb when they heard a teenager they thought was dead SCREAMING from inside her coffin.

Neysi Perez was declared dead after collapsing at her home in Honduras but her distraught cries were heard by family members following her funeral.

The grieving relatives smashed into the concrete structure before pulling open the wooden coffin - having found the glass viewing window smashed and bruises on the 16-year-old’s fingers.

However, medics who arrived at the scene found no signs of life and all efforts to revive her failed and she was once again declared dead.

She was reburied again in the same tomb she had been pulled from.

Ms Perez was declared dead by doctors after collapsing and foaming at the mouth following her wedding.

The teenager - who was also three months pregnant - was rushed to hospital but her religious parents claimed that she had been possessed by an evil spirit.

Priests had attempted an exorcism before she was declared dead by doctors.

Ms Perez was buried in her wedding dress but it wasn’t until a day after her funeral that husband Rudy Gonzales heard the muffled screams.

He told local TV news Primer Impacto: “As I put my hand on her grave I could hear noises inside.

“I heard banging, then I heard her voice. She was screaming for help.

"It had already been a day since we buried her. I couldn’t believe it. I was ecstatic, full of hope.”

A cemetery worker also claimed to have heard the screams.

After being removed from the tomb, her cousin, Carolina Perez, said she could feel a “faint heartbeat”.

She added: ”She had scratches on her forehead and bruises on her fingers.

“It looked like she had tried desperately to get out of the casket and hurt herself.”

Ms Perez was taken to hospital in her coffin but she was declared clinically dead again.

Doctor Claudia Lopez said of the incident: “The whole family rushed in, almost breaking the door down, carrying the girl in her casket.

“I told them to take her out and put her on the bed. Everybody was claiming she was alive so I went through all the necessary procedures.

"We evaluated and tried everything but the girl was dead.

“They put her back in the coffin and took her away again, back to the cemetery.”

Doctors believe the teen may have suffered a severe panic attack after hearing gunfire outside her home - which may have temporarily stopped her heart activity, making her appear to be dead.

Having been buried alive, Ms Perez may have then subsequently died of a lack of oxygen inside the coffin.
