Kingston Police say they're conducting a homicide investigation after an 88-year-old man was found dead in the city's north end.

The man was found in a home in the 2100 block of McKendry Road on Monday, Nov. 14, where he lived alone, police said.

He has been identified as Jahzerah Berndt. Police said next of kin had been notified.

No arrests have been made, police announced on Wednesday. Earlier in the week the force said it wasn't aware of "any ongoing risk" to the public.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Kingston Police.
