Death investigation under way in Lake Lawrence area, Thurston County Sheriff’s Office says

The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a possible homicide in the Lake Lawrence area of the county, a spokesman said Sunday morning.

About 8 a.m., deputies were dispatched to the Lake Lawrence Mobile Home Park in the area of 153rd Avenue Southeast. Lake Lawrence is southeast of Rainier.

Deputies arrived to find two people, one of whom was dead, Lt. Mike Brooks said.

Detectives are trying to determine whether there was a homicide or an act of self-defense that resulted in the person’s death, Brooks said.

No other details about the victim or the possible suspect were released.
