Nose Hill Park death non-criminal, say police

Woman sexually assaulted near Penbrooke Meadows bus stop

The death of a man whose body was found in a makeshift shelter in Nose Hill Park is believed to be non-criminal, Calgary police say.

Around noon on Saturday, a hiker alerted police to the body, which was found in the area of John Laurie Boulevard and 19th Street N.W.

The homicide unit was sent in to investigate, as is protocol in all undetermined deaths, police said in a release.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
