Death of Mississauga woman found in driveway now a homicide: Peel police

Peel Regional Police say the death of Mississauga woman Cheryl McVarish is now considered a homicide. 

The 43-year-old woman was found dead on a driveway outside a Westmount Avenue home near Lakeshore Road East and Cawthra Road on March 20.

McVarish was reported missing on March 13.

Police are not releasing the cause of death at this time.

Investigators say they believe this was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.

McVarish's death is the third homicide in Region of Peel this year.
