Defence committee member argues with Sajjan over his handling of Vance allegations

Federal Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan on Friday argued with a member of the Standing Committee on National Defence, Conservative MP James Bezan, over the minister’s handling of the inappropriate behaviour allegations against former chief of the defence staff Gen. Jonathan Vance, at one point telling Bezan he was “missing a point here.” Bezan suggested regarding Sajjan’s explanation, he was trying to ensure the investigation was “free of government interference” and was not adequate considering Vance’s position in the military.
