Demi Lovato’s Ex-Fiancé, Max Ehrich, Says He Found Out About Their Breakup Online

Get ready, because a lot just went down between Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich.

News of their breakup hit the internet on September 24, when it was announced that they called it quits two months after getting engaged. But, on September 27, Max took to Instagram to reveal that he didn't know that Demi broke off their engagement and found out with pretty much the rest of us.

"Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid," he wrote on his Instagram story. "While your [sic] in the middle of filming a biopic movie about a Pastor in a Christian Church whose intention of the film is to help people."

After briefly sharing how he initially heard the news, Max elaborated on the details.

"This is the God's honest truth of how I found out about the ending of the engagement and have people from my film who saw the whole thing go down and helped me get back into character to continue my job. I had cast and crew with families relying on me to do my job," he continued. "Please end this narrative and focus on other more important issues in the world. I love and forgive everyone involved."

Max also took to Instagram to ask fans to "stop trying to thank you, next...me" and "please don't send people to break into my home again!" According to the screenshot, a neighbor had messaged Max asking him if he was home after they say someone grilling and using his kayak. He also posted various pictures of text messages he had received about the breakup, writing "leave me alone."

Max concluded his Instagram story by stressing that he will always love Demi. At the time, he said the two hadn't spoken on the phone or officially ended anything to each other. "Literally. I'm here in real time with y'all. I love Demetria and just want her to be healthy and safe. If you're reading this...I love you always...unconditionally...no matter what," he said.

Contrary to Max's Instagram Story rant, a source told E! News that Demi did let him know ahead of time that they were over and the news was going public.

"Demi did tell him beforehand," the source said. "[He's] just trying to stay relevant. Her family thinks he is crazy and is so relieved she has taken this step."

He ending the night by posted screenshots of him listening to several of Demi's hits and even encouraging people to listen to her new song, "OK Not To Be OK".

A day later, on September 28, Max ended up deleting all of his previous posts and shared an update. "One chapter finally closed this am. And now I turn the page. Focused on wellness, love, God, my family, friends and my art," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Demi remains completely unbothered by Max's Instagram rant. She deleted all their photos together from Instagram and is no longer following him.

Looks like this relationship is done for good.
