Demi Moore’s Bathroom Is Confusing the Hell Out of People on Social Media

Celebrities: They are so not like us. For one, most have more money than the average American will see in a lifetime. What they do with that money is bound to perplex the rest of us. Allow me to direct you to Demi Moore’s bathroom….

Moore—made famous by her stint on General Hospital, movies like St. Elmo’s Fire and Ghost, and that cover of Vanity Fair—is launching a podcast entitled Dirty Diana. As one does, she announced her latest project on Instagram. “Excited to finally share what I’ve been working on,” she wrote in the caption of two images seemingly showcasing Moore hard at work. “First episode of #DirtyDiana drops Monday, July 13. Trailer in bio.”

At first glance at photo number one, you might not even be able to tell that Moore was hosting a Zoom call from her bathroom except for the toilet peeking out on the left. But once you sweep to photo number two…

What, exactly, is going? I mean, I get recording in the bathroom if you can get away with it—the acoustics in my shower are amazing. However, the decor situation must be discussed. The shag carpet, the Joan of Arc (?!) statue, the sofa facing the large tub…it sure is something.

While people on social media had their own thoughts and questions on the subject, “Is that your bathroom?” seemed to be the gist on Instagram. “I can’t tell if there’s a couch in the bathroom or a toilet in the living room lol,” one fan wrote in the Instagram comments.

Twitter had even more thoughts ranging from fear to pride.

To many, wall-to-wall carpet in a bathroom feels wrong and possibly unhygienic, but not everyone was inherently grossed out. “The balls to not only have wall to wall carpet in your bathroom—but to also be wearing shoes during a Zoom call. Friends, Demi Moore might just break the top 20 of baddest bitches of all time,” one Twitter user wrote. “Icon behavior.”

I guess you can’t really argue with that.
