Ryan Murphy has always been known for his fashion-forward shows, from Pose to Halston. And while the TV mogul’s latest series, Feud: Capote vs. the Swans, may not be totally centered on fashion, it should come as no surprise that the stars of the series pulled out all the stops on the red carpet.
Capote vs. the Swans is the second season of the Feud anthology series Murphy co-created with Jaffe Cohen and Michael Zam. While the first season followed the infamous feud between Joan Crawford and Bette Davis (played by Jessica Lange and Susan Sarandon, respectively), the new installment covers a conflict that occurred between famed American novelist Truman Capote and the socialites he unflatteringly portrayed in his never-finished book Answered Prayers. The eight-episode season was inspired by the biography Capote’s Women: A True Story of Love, Betrayal, and a Swan Song for an Era, by Laurence Leamer, and it premieres with two episodes on January 31.
Part of the reason we can’t wait to watch this series is because the cast includes such major stars as Calista Flockhart, Diane Lane, Demi Moore, Molly Ringwald, Chloë Sevigny, and Naomi Watts—all of whom made an appearance on the red carpet at the New York City premiere. Meanwhile, a few of Murphy’s frequent onscreen collaborators, like American Horror Story alum Emma Roberts, also showed up.
