Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre is back at work after being sidelined by a prostate infection.
Coderre made light of his illness while attending the Irishman of the Year Breakfast on Saturday.
"Just so you know, it was prostatitis ... it's not brain," Coderre said, in response to jokes about him making it to the breakfast but not to work.
The normally active tweeter, who had been silent during his illness, returned to social media Friday to thank his well-wishers.
Coderre went on sick leave at the end of February and said he would be back to work March 8.
Members of the City of Montreal's Executive Committee filled in for the mayor while he was off.
