Acting/Inspector Debra Anderson took over her duties this month as the new detachment commander in Grey Bruce.

She has served in policing roles over 34 years, including with Canadian Armed Forces as a military police officer based in Halifax and at Camp Bordon.

She served the Fergus Police Service with the municipal force. After joining the OPP she was with Wellington County OPP before she accepted a Staff Sergeant position in Grey Bruce in December of 2019.

Acting Inspector Anderson said she’s looking forward to working with local residents and with officials at Police Service Boards and the municipalities of Grey County and the Bruce Peninsula.

“I am proud to be managing an amazing group of Officers and civilians at the Grey Bruce OPP,” she said. “These people really care about the communities that we serve."
