Move over, Meghan and Harry. The second royal wedding of the year is coming up, and we’re dusting off our fascinators and sipping our Pimm’s as the details spill like tea.
According to People, the wedding of Harry’s cousin Princess Eugenie (aka the sixth grandchild of Queen Elizabeth and youngest daughter of Prince Andrew of York) and Jack Brooksbank will take place over two days, with the official ceremony happening on Friday, October 12, at 6 a.m. EST in St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle (the same place where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot this past May).
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds will take a carriage procession around the grounds (though not down the famous “Long Walk” like Meghan and Harry), after which Queen Elizabeth will host a luncheon at Windsor Castle. The bride’s parents, Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, will then host a black-tie reception at the Royal Lodge.
On Saturday, the couple will throw a carnival-style party complete with festival rides, cocktails and food stalls, according to The Sunday Times. The party planners, Bentley’s Entertainment, are the same folks who threw David and Victoria Beckham’s wedding reception. Um, where’s our invite, Eug?!
Other hot goss regarding the big day: George and Amal Clooney may be in attendance, since the groom is a friend to George and brand ambassador of his Casamigos Tequila.
