Detectives have charged a second man after a shooting in Walthamstow left a man seriously injured.

Anthony Diamond Brown, 22, of no fixed address has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life.

He was charged on Friday has been remanded in custody.

Desharn Felix, of no fixed address, was previously charged with possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life, possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life and possession of cannabis.

He appeared in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 7 July. He will next appear at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 22 January 2024.

An investigation was launched after police were called at 10.44pm on Saturday, 17 June to reports of shots fired in Blackhorse Lane.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service. A 22-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound.

He was taken to hospital in a critical condition.

His injuries were later assessed as not life-threatening and was discharged.
