Diddy talks locking women in at ‘freak off’ parties in resurfaced clip

NEW YORK — In the wake of his recent arrest on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, an old clip of Sean “Diddy” Combs providing Conan O’Brien with a list of tips for the perfect party has resurfaced online.

The 2002 interview from O’Brien’s eponymous late-night talk show started making the rounds on social media not long after Diddy was ordered held without bail at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn.

He was taken into custody at the Park Hyatt Hotel in Midtown on Monday and has since pleaded not guilty to felony counts of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking and transportation to engage in prostitution.

The clip of the 22-year-old interview kicks offs with O’Brien acknowledging Diddy’s knack for throwing big bashes. He tells the music mogul he puts on Paul Anka’s music at his own parties and breaks out the “Cheez Whiz,” but that his strategy usually yields few guests.

“This what you need to do. Women. Beautiful women, of course. Beautiful men for the ladies, of course,” the rapper responds.

Diddy’s next tip involves providing numerous kinds of alcohol, but he says water is also needed.

“I don’t know if guys have noticed this but a lot of ladies drink water at parties, so if you don’t have what they need, they’re gonna leave,” he says, before adding, “Gotta keep them there. Need locks on the doors.

The late night host seems a bit surprised by the comment and jokes that “this is sounding kinda dangerous now.”

Diddy offers a shrug and admits his parties can get a bit “kinky” before offering O’Brien some more advice.

“You need a lot of heat. Don’t have no air conditioning,” he says. “Heat affects the alcohol … and everybody gets a little bit more comfortable and loose … builds up a nice little sweat.”

O’Brien eventually responds: “That just sounds disgusting.”

At the center of the accusations brought against Diddy are his infamous “freak off” sex parties, which allegedly involved degrading and physically abusive acts that were often recorded.

According to a federal indictment made public earlier this week, the rapper “abused, threatened and coerced women and others around him” into participating in the illicit hotel room parties.

Diddy’s arrest came after a months-long investigation carried out by Homeland Security and the federal government, which saw agents raid Diddy’s homes in Miami and Los Angeles in connection with drug and sex trafficking allegations.

He’s also been named in nine different lawsuits since November 2023, most of them detailing allegations of rape, sexual assault, drugging and physical abuse.
