Diesel takes a dive; gas drops another penny

The cost of diesel fell by more than three cents a litre Thursday, while consumers got another break on the cost of gasoline, too.

The Public Utilities Board lowered the ceiling on diesel prices by 3.2 cents a litre, and lowered maximum prices on gas by one cent.

Thursday marked the eighth time in the last 10 weeks that gas prices have fallen, largely driven by a softening in the oil market.

Furnace oil dropped by 3.04 cents a litre.
