As of May 1, Aline Holmen will be independently taking over the position of director of Fundraising and Development at the Taber and District Health Foundation.
Holmen has worked in recreation management for most of her life and previously worked with the Town of Taber, becoming the director of Recreation during her 17 years with the town. Afterwards, Holmen started her own consultant business which eventually led to her current job with the Taber and District Health Foundation.
“I felt that the skills I have garnered while working with the Town of Taber closely match the skills required for this position and I was very excited to work with the community again,” said Holmen. “Not just because of COVID but it’s been a few years since I was employed by the town, but I just felt it was a good time for me with COVID letting up to get back out and I was really looking forward to working with, and for the community.”
As the director of Fundraising and Development at the Taber and District Health Foundation, Holmen will be in charge of fundraising for the foundation as well as organizing community events. She will also be maintaining an office at the Taber Hospital Centre as an employee of the Taber and District Health Foundation. Holmen will also be responsible for maintaining the relationships with donors and the sponsors for the different events that the Taber and District Health Foundation orchestrate. The final aspect of Holmen’s new job is letting people know about the mission and the mandate of the foundation.
This mission is to give people an opportunity to help fundraise so the Taber Hospital Centre and outlying facilities can more easily purchase essential equipment for their operations.
