The dog, believed to a Basenji or bull-terrier type, was found at large near St. Kateri Tekakwitha School, which is located at 1005 Abbotsford Dr. N.E.

Nichols encouraged the dog's owner to come forward and provide a medical history for the animal.

Anyone who recognizes the dog is asked to contact the humane society at 403-205-4455.
